1. Choose the Right Location for Indoor and Outdoor Units

2. Install the Mounting Plate for the Indoor Unit

8. Evacuate Air and Moisture from the System
Use a vacuum pump to remove any air and moisture from the refrigerant lines. This is essential to ensure efficient cooling and prevent damage to the compressor. Let the vacuum pump run for about 15–30 minutes until it reaches the desired vacuum level.
9. Release the Refrigerant into the System
After achieving the correct vacuum, release the refrigerant from the outdoor unit into the system by opening the service valves. This allows the refrigerant to flow through the pipes and complete the cooling cycle.
10. Seal the Wall Opening
Seal the hole around the pipes and wiring with expanding foam or caulk to prevent air, water, or insects from entering the room.
11. Test the Air Conditioner
Power on the AC unit and set it to cooling mode. Check if it’s cooling effectively, and listen for any unusual noises. Inspect both indoor and outdoor units to ensure there are no refrigerant leaks, vibrations, or water leaks.
12. Final Adjustments and Inspection
Make any necessary adjustments to ensure the unit is running smoothly and efficiently. Double-check all connections, and verify that the system is working as expected.
